Baptisms

It is always a special occasion when infants, children, teens, or adults enters our faith community through baptism.

Baptisms are performed during worship services. Babies or others who can't take vows for themselves are presented by parents and/or sponsors.  Baptismal garments are optional.

The presiding minister will arrange a pre-Baptism session to meet your family, describe the ritual and answer any questions you may have.

To schedule a baptism, contact Sandy Vogele at svogele@hpcumc.org or (513) 979-8199.

Check the calendar to the right for upcoming baptisms.

Baptisms: United Methodist Philosophy and Tradition
We believe: “… through the Sacrament of Baptism we are initiated into Christ's holy church…incorporated into God's mighty acts of salvation…and given new birth through water and the Spirit.”

All this is God’s gift, offered without a price.

Baptism is a covenant between God and each of us; God promises that we are adopted by grace, and we promise our response of faith and love.
