Connect in the Middle

"Connect in the Middle"-Join other adults as we deepen our faith and connection with each other, our community and our church. Connect in the Middle is a group for people in "the middle" ....juggling the demands/joys of children, aging parents, careers, and a real connection with Christ. Most of the group are in their late 30s, then 40s and 50s, though it's not limited by age. There are a number of ways you may participate with this  adult fellowship and study group.  Choose one or all of them. Here’s our calendar for the next few months:

Social…..  Our Pre-SuperBowl Party February 4th was a great time.  We enjoyed playing some "football" games, fellowship and raised over $2000. for mission work at two orphanages in Lesotho, Africa.  Thanks to Mike and Carol Evans for hosting us in their beautiful home!

                                            CIM SuperBowl

What's up next?  An outdoor brick oven pizza party to celebrate summer  this June.

Serve- Thanks to everyone who helped provide lunch and fun game activities for about 30 children at the Wesley Chapel Mission Center in Over the Rhine Saturday April  28th.  Mary Anne Newman did a great job coordinating this project!

Study…..Join in one of our small groups held on Sunday mornings or Saturday late afternoons.
The book study of Unbinding the Gospel is a prayerful endeavor that began at the Methodist Conference. HPCUMC, supported and encouraged by  Dr. Tim Bias, and spearheaded by Craig Rambo, is now forming small groups to study this book and see if we can reawaken the Spirit within us all. It seems appropriate too that we begin this study following Easter, and the celebration of new life, hope and spirit in the risen Christ.
As before, we will have 2 classes; one on Saturdays led by David Colaw, meeting from 5-6 p.m in member's homes and the other class meeting led by John Fillion on Sundays at 9:30 in Room 303 at Church. Feel free to jump between the Saturday  5:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:30 a.m. class as needed.  See below for our schedule........

Note: we also plan on a Celebration/Victory party at the end. Yes, we’re trying to entice you with the promise of food and wine at the end!!

The book cost is $10 and because of the prayer journal that’s in them, it might be easier for you to have your own copy rather than share.  You can obtain a copy of the book through Lisa Foley in the church office.
